The Councilor of the Mayor of the City of Lorca, María Dolores Chumillas, has presented the free computer courses and new technologies for the elderly.
Chumillas explained that "these workshops of Information Technology and New Technologies allow the digital age to be brought closer to the elderly. With a duration of three hours per week, what is intended is that our elders know the basic system of computers and how they work. Also they are taught to surf the internet, either to find information that may be useful in their daily lives, to interact with people from all over the world through social networks or to create montages of various types. "
"These workshops are suitable for anyone because the contents are adapted to each level of knowledge and, for this, groups have been established that range from an initiation level to an advanced level, from Monday to Thursday.
