The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos, has answered the questions raised this morning by the municipal group Izquierda Unida Verdes.
Mazuecos has explained that "due to the large number of cultural activities that we are organizing in Lorca, the municipal spaces are so requested that we talk about a waiting list of several months to be able to make use of spaces such as the Ruano Garden or the Guevara Palace" .
The Edil has indicated that "the Cultural Center Espín was a reference at the cultural level, headquarters and framework of exhibitions, exhibitions and renowned presentations not only at the local level but also at the regional and even national level. A space that has long been closed to the public and, therefore, and given the determined commitment of this Government Team to boost both cultural activity in Lorca and the historic center, our city has made the decision to put it back in value, to recover the importance it had and that is part of the large number of initiatives that take place in Lorca. Mazuecos Moreno has announced that "after conversations with members of the Foundation, it has been agreed that, in a second phase, they will begin a series of joint actions to expose the rich pictorial heritage of the Foundation that has remained there these years, as well as study the possibility of cataloging, jointly, the valuable documentary repertoire housed in the Center ".
As for the Agricultural Chamber, he recalled that "it is a regional property, attached to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Community, which does not allow housing activities that are not related to this area.
