"The regional government does not believe municipalism and budgets demonstrate the lack of empathy and consideration towards municipalities"

The general secretary of the PSRM-PSOE and spokesman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group, Diego Conesa, has assured that the dynamics of lies and confrontation of the regional government does not lead to any place or help solve the serious problems that the Region of Murcia has and defend the interests of citizenship.

Diego Conesa has made these statements at a press conference in Lorca, and has insisted that the Government of Pedro Sánchez is the best ally of the Region of Murcia.

"And it is demonstrating this in recent days, especially in terms of infrastructure, agriculture, water and the environment."

The socialist leader has criticized that the Minister of Development is installed in generating tensions and raising false news, instead of looking for solutions regarding the infrastructure of the municipalities of the Region.

On the other hand, it has indicated that the PSRM is working to try to find consensus, agreements and solutions so that regional budgets meet the needs of the municipalities of the Region.

"But the dynamics of the regional government, installed in the systematic lie, leads nowhere. The regional government does not believe in municipalism and budgets punish city halls once again."

In this sense, the mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has said that the Autonomous Community budgets, once again, punish the municipalities.

"The regional government does not believe municipalism and budgets demonstrate the lack of empathy and consideration towards the municipalities, which are the largest service providers closest to the neighbors."

"The budgets leave much to be desired in terms of municipal investments, we will continue to endure improper powers, which in Lorca already reach 4.5 million euros, and which would have to take over regional coffers. We have the support from the Socialist Parliamentary Group, which is doing a great job to gather the needs and concerns of each of the municipalities, "he concluded.
