This initiative is promoted by the Royal Federation of Motoring and the Legacy of María de Villota, now headed by his father Emilio de Villota, who has also been present, in the Plaza de España, in the delivery of oil for more than 250 families
The Rallye Tierras Altas de Lorca will be the inaugural event of the #MotorSolidario 2020 project, which will allow to unite sport and solidarity to help the most needy.
This initiative, promoted by the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation and the María de Villota Legacy, arrives at the Murcia event at the hands of the Automobile Club of Lorca, especially committed and sensitized with this project, pioneer in our sport.
The Councilor for Sports, Irene Jódar have been supporting this solidarity initiative with their leaders, among which was Emilio de Villota, father of María de Villota.
The place chosen has been the Plaza de España where Cáritas Lorca has been delivered oil for more than 250 families.
#MotorSolidario and the organizer of the rally have collaborated with the purchase of oil, for Cáritas Lorca, as well as with a collection of food among the participants of the test, which will allow to extend this initiative among athletes, teams, brands and motoring officials .
On Thursday, the oil provided by RFEdA and AC Lorca has been delivered to Cáritas Lorca, tomorrow, Friday, March 6, the teams, brands, press and officers present in Lorca will have the opportunity to donate food at the test offices from the moment in which the delivery of documentation begins until the end of the test.
With this great gesture, the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, the María de Villota Legacy and the Automobile Club of Lorca want to demonstrate that motoring is a solidarity sport with the most needy people, being the first of many actions to be carried out this season.
In addition, all those fans who are going to enjoy the show stage at the Huerto de la Rueda Campus can donate non-perishable food for this same purpose.
The event also had the participation of the president of Caritas Interparroquial, Lázaro Caballero, the pilot of the Spanish championship, Gorka Eizmendi, the father of María de Villota, Emilio de Villota.
