It will be discovered next Sunday, March 8, coinciding with the celebration of International Women's Day, and theatrical visits will also take place with female characters as protagonists and the awards ceremony of the II Children's Photography Contest 'Women who make history'.
The Brotherhood of Labradors, Paso Azul joins the events that commemorate International Women's Day through a battery of activities that will take place next Sunday, March 8 and that are included in the program of events developed by the Department of Equality of the City of Lorca on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.
The activities will take place throughout the morning, making it coincide with the ephemeris.
It will be at the Blue Museum of Holy Week, MASS and will begin at 10:30 am, with the discovery of a plaque in homage to the magnificent work that the blue embroidery machines carry out daily.
Then, it will be the awards ceremony of the II Children's Photography Contest 'Women who make history', organized by the team of guides that has the Blue Step and that, in its second edition, the protagonist of the photographs has been the figure of the charioteer Flavia Domicia.
In addition, in two countries, at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., a very special theatrical visit will take place because under the title 'Women as the protagonist of the blue procession'.
A Manola, a portapasos, a standard and flag carrier, a Roman, a butler or Flavia Domicia will come alive during the visit and, with very short texts, will explain to the attendees their role in the blue procession and in history.
The President of the Blue Step, José María Miñarro, wanted to invite "all the blues, but also all the Lorca and Lorca to participate in an event whose purpose is to recognize the work of the embroiderers and, ultimately, of the women who for so many years they have enhanced the rich heritage of Lorca with their work and participation and, of course, their Holy Week.
