The mayor of Local Development, Isabel Casalduero, recalled that the objective of this contest is "to promote and reward the entrepreneurial spirit, generator of wealth and employment, contributing to the well-being and improvement of the socioeconomic environment of the municipality".

The Councilor for Local Development of the City of Lorca, Isabel Casalduero, has reported that "the deadline is now open to participate in the XI Business Initiative Contest 'City of Lorca', convened by the City of Lorca through the Department of Development Local and Employment ".

The mayor of Local Development has detailed that this Department will advise and guide all those who appear at this event whose objective is "to promote and reward the entrepreneurial spirit, generator of wealth and employment, contributing to the well-being and improvement of the socio-economic environment of Lorca" .

Isabel Casalduero has pointed out "that this bi-annual event will be open to newly created companies, whose start date of activity is between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2020 and who have not developed the same or similar activity during the twenty-four months prior to July 1, 2018. In addition to companies in any sector and economic activity that, even created in a previous date, have incorporated innovations in the production processes or marketing channels into their businesses during the period of 1 July 2018 and June 30, 2020. "

The councilor explained "business projects may belong to any sector and economic activity, and the execution of the project, as well as the company's registered office and tax office, must be located in Lorca, not allowing the creation of subsidiaries, branches, consortiums and other similar forms of already established companies. "

All those companies interested in participating will be able to do so until December 28, 2020, presenting all the documentation in the General Registry of the Lorca City Council or electronically providing a photocopy of the DNI for natural persons and CIF for legal persons;

address and telephone number of the applicant (s);

in the case of legal persons, a copy of the deed of incorporation, manager-administrator of the company and list of all the partners that form it at the time of the request;

as well as a descriptive memory that will include the market to which the service / product is directed, the innovation and added value provided by the project, the Investment and Financing Plan, in detail and the initial jobs and prospects for medium-term growth.

As for the prizes, the total amount will be 12,000 euros, of which 6,000 euros will be for the first prize, 4,000 for the second and 2,000 the third.

And the selection of the projects will be made according to a previous study of the project presented, in which the difficulties of the project, innovative character, as well as job creation will be analyzed.

And the innovative nature of the initiative or business project, the nonexistence of the business initiative, product or service in the municipality, the age of the person who starts the project, in addition to the level of job creation, will be taken into account if These are initiatives or projects that promote social integration and citizen participation, involving the provision and improvement of services, infrastructures and equipment in the municipalities, traditional business initiatives that have incorporated new production processes, marketing or incorporation of new technologies information to the different processes of a company, that incorporate new forms of work organization, that have invested in new technologies or that are developing R + D + I strategies that involve a modernization of the services they offer, among others.

Lastly, the Councilor for Local Development has encouraged all the companies in our municipality to participate in this event, which enables them to publicize all the business initiatives that exist in the town, as well as new projects that may be launched, and how no, traditional companies that have technologically adapted their production or marketing processes
