The Councilor for Personnel and Internal Regime of the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán, has announced the measures, agreed with the workers unions, for the establishment of work shifts that guarantee the services provided by the Consistory.
Abellán explained that "taking into account the evolution of the pandemic caused by the Coronavirus, and due to the latest measures adopted both by the Government of the Nation, through Rea Decree 463/2020, and by the Autonomous Community of the Region de Murcia, the Department of Personnel and Interior Regime of the City of Lorca has agreed to adopt a series of additional preventive measures to these decrees. "
The mayor has detailed that "these adopted measures have already been presented to the negotiating table, to the unions, which agree with them, and the Consistory Safety and Health Committee has also been informed, and the decisions taken are directed , above all, to changes in organization and customer service. "
"Specifically, and with an extraordinary and temporary nature, the administrative services of the City Council will remain closed to the public, except for the services of the Local Police, Emergencies and Citizen Security and the Municipal Registry, that is, the Consistory is not paralyzed, which closes is the attention to the public ".
Abellán Chicano has reported that "the different headquarters will organize the internal work and the personnel that provide services in places totally closed to the public will also be organized in work shifts. Each service will be divided into three work shifts, three teams, which will leave alternating every three days so that attention is guaranteed by telematic and telephone means and it will be provided, through signage, telephones and email addresses to be perfectly attended. "
"Three shifts that have already started today and that have the double objective of guaranteeing the regulations established from the health field and continue to provide service to our citizens," stressed the mayor.
The Councilor for Personnel has announced that "we are going to facilitate teleworking to all City Council employees who so request. Preference will be given to those who have children under 12 years of age or elderly or dependent persons under their care, also for pregnant women and even for the staff over 60 years, but, in short, it will be implemented in all those applicants and, for this, the Information Society Service is already working on the implementation of the programs in computers and homes.
In addition, Isidro Abellán, recalled that "travel and meetings, visits and departures of technical personnel to homes and companies are suspended and internal meetings of more than five people are prohibited. Regarding cleaning, prevention measures are increased and of hygiene, of the disinfection work of the municipal technical and police units and vehicles ".
