Fulgencio Gil has stated that the crisis caused by the expansion of the coronavirus will require an effort by our City Council aimed at alleviating the serious economic consequences that will be generated by the restriction of movements and the closure of establishments and businesses, to exception of those considered essential.
It is evident that an extraordinary situation needs an extraordinary response and at the height of the circumstances.
That is why from the Municipal People's Group we propose the implementation of a battery of tax and fiscal type shock measures at the municipal level aimed at all citizens, with special attention to small businesses, autonomous companies and the public sector. restoration.
The objective of this proposal is to help the people of Lorca, while trying to avoid the loss of jobs that will presumably bring with it.
We are talking about municipal actions that seek to curb the negative consequences that this situation will produce.

Fulgencio Gil has detailed that this battery of municipal measures would include, among others, the following:

Moratorium until December of the payment of the car seal, fords and IBI, pending the economic impact of the health crisis and open to the establishment of exemptions and bonuses after analyzing the consequences of this emergency.
That they extend the bonuses established in the Social Water Bonus to include merchants, hoteliers and the self-employed in their coverage.
Bonus for the water and garbage rate for companies, freelancers and businesses affected by the effects of this situation caused by the coronavirus.
Total exemption from the fees and taxes established for establishments with terraces, such as bars and cafes.
Exemption from the payment of the fee to the vendors of squares and markets that have not had the opportunity to reopen their usual positions, and study of extraordinary markets once the virus alert has been sent.
General IBI reduction for the entire population as a measure to help families and economic reactivation of the municipality.
Refund of fees and public prices of services not provided by the city council due to the current restrictions: swimming pools, sports centers, plastic arts school, nurseries, among others.
Fiscal reduction of the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) for local companies that suffer losses as a result of this emergency situation.
From the PP we propose that the Lorca City Council, as other municipal councils are already doing in different cities, must consider that the properties intended for leisure and hospitality and commercial uses are of special interest or municipal utility due to employment circumstances.
For this reason, as long as local companies guarantee that they will maintain the employment of the entire workforce, we propose that they should be entitled to a 25% real estate tax (IBI) discount.
