The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the 'Plan against home burglary', has carried out an investigation in Lorca, which has had the collaboration of the local police of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, which has culminated in the disarticulation of a criminal group, whose five members have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with force in a house of the Lorca province of Purias.
The search carried out at the home of one of the arrested has resulted in the recovery of jewelry, computer equipment, a bicycle, motorcycle parts and toys.
The investigation began last February, when the Civil Guard learned of the theft of a robbery in a house of the Lorca province of Purias, from which numerous effects had been stolen, including two motorcycles, watches of prestigious brands, computer equipment and tools.
From that moment, the investigators carried out the corresponding technical-ocular inspection of the house, as well as an examination of its surroundings, along boulevards and nearby roads, to obtain any type of indication that would allow the identification of the suspects.
Citizen collaboration
The Civil Guard found out, thanks to citizen collaboration, that several of the stolen objects were trying to be sold to residents of the area.
Even the complainant was able to recover one of the motorcycles that he owned, a fact that allowed the investigation to be focused on a group of people settled in the municipalities of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras.
In order to recover the maximum of stolen objects and prevent their sale to third parties, the investigators informed the judicial authority of the results of the investigation and requested separate entry and search warrants for the domicile of two of the suspects where, according to the indications, some of the effects could remain stored.
In this way, agents from the Benemérita and local police from the municipalities of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras carried out the search of the properties, in one of which computer equipment, jewelry, a bicycle, motorcycle parts were found and recovered. and toys that were recognized by the complainant, as well as other objects of dubious origin.
This circumstance provided the investigation with sufficient evidence to attribute, both to the residents of the two registered homes, and to other individuals related to the criminal sphere, the alleged responsibility for the crime under investigation.
The investigation has culminated in the identification and arrest of five male persons, three of them Spanish and two Dutch, aged between 20 and 31 years and residents of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras, who are allegedly responsible for the crime. burglary in the home.
Those arrested, the effects recovered and the proceedings investigated have been made available to the Investigating Court of Lorca (Murcia).
The investigation is still open, so future arrests, the recovery of other stolen effects and the involvement of those now arrested in more criminal acts are not ruled out.
