The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has held a video conference with the President of the Community, Fernando López Miras;
the Vice President, Isabel Franco;
the Presidency and Health Counselors, Javier Celdrán and Manuel Villegas;
as well as a dozen mayors from municipalities throughout the Region.
Mateos has reported "of the videoconference held this morning in which, for more than an hour and a half, we have conveyed to the representatives of the regional government the concerns and needs of the municipalities of Lorca, Águilas, Murcia, Cartagena, La Unión, Los Alcázares , San Pedro del Pinatar, Molina de Segura, San Javier, Alcantarilla and Mazarrón, as well as the sharing between the localities themselves ".
The First mayor stressed that "it has been a sharing of the measures that both the regional government and the municipalities have been implemented, and also, to continue acting with the necessary coordination, and that is total, between the state and regional administration and local, since it is the City Councils that are in the front line in the fight against the Coronavirus ".
Mateos Molina has requested that "from the Regional Government, the Ministry of Health be asked for more means of protection for health personnel, Local Police, Emergencies and Cleaning Services, since after the decree of the State of Alarm the distribution of all these resources depends on the Government of the Nation ".
The Mayor of Lorca has highlighted the need to apply economic measures at all levels, however, once we manage to stop the advance of the Coronavirus "and he has reiterated" total loyalty with the regional and national governments to coordinate 100 per hundred because, in this way, in addition to guaranteeing maximum security, we also alleviate the uncertainty that may arise between our neighbors in this exceptional situation. "
