The councilor for the University of the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos, has informed of the donation of sanitary material made from the Lorca University Campus in collaboration with the Dean of the Faculty of Socio-sanitary Sciences.
The mayor of the University has detailed that "the material that was on campus prepared for both the teaching work and the practices of the students has been delivered to the Rafael Méndez de Lorca hospital."
Specifically, it is "a box of masks of 50 operating rooms plus another 20 of different kinds; 35 protective glasses; latex gloves of different sizes (Size S 10 boxes / 1,000 units, Size M 13 boxes / 1,300 units, and Size L 9 boxes / 900 units); as well as 40 bottles of hydroalcoholic gel ".
The mayor of the University recalled that "the main objective of this initiative has been, on the one hand, to help in these hard times we are experiencing as a result of the coronavirus crisis, and, on the other hand, to be able to contribute to the immense work that the toilets are underway. "
Mazuecos Moreno has acknowledged that "we are all aware of the great demand for medical supplies, especially EPI, and we believe that everything adds up to defeat coronavirus together as soon as possible."
In addition, from the University Campus of Lorca they have wished "the prompt recovery of the sick" and thanked "the priceless work of doctors, general health, bodies and State Security Forces, cleaning and disinfection personnel, political authorities, farmers , carriers, food stores, among others.
