The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has supervised, this morning, along with the councilors for Health and Sports of the Lorca City Council, José Ángel Ponce and Irene Jódar and those responsible for the sanitary services inspection service of the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community some of the facilities that the City Council has made available to the health authorities.
The objective of this visit, explained the mayor, "has been to assess and take all the data necessary to know what furniture, as well as equipment these municipal facilities have."
Specifically, this morning the International Beach Volleyball Center was visited, very close to the Rafael Méndez Hospital in Lorca, and which has a total of 20 double rooms, that is, 40 places, in addition to the Felipe VI Sports Complex.
The First mayor pointed out that "from the Community an inventory of these municipal facilities has been made with which they could count on for the use that the health authorities deem appropriate."
Mateos Molina stressed that these facilities are in perfect condition so that they are either medicalized for the care of the sick or to accommodate the health workers of the Rafael Méndez hospital. "
The mayor recalled that "last week we already made available to both the management of Area III and Public Health all municipal infrastructure for the needs of use that may arise."
In addition to several hotels in the municipality, specifically with the Jardines Group that made its hotels available to deal with this health emergency, as well as the health needs that are occurring in our health area. "
