The Councilor for Equality of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez, has announced, this morning, the solidarity initiative that is being coordinated for a few days in the Lorca municipality and through which all the aid and offers that are being channeled arriving related to the manufacture of cloth masks.

The mayor of Equality has detailed that "since the beginning of this week, various groups began to contact us, but also individuals, who offered us their help to make masks, as well as to donate materials or volunteer for distribution among the health workers. or groups that need it. "

A work of distribution in which they are also collaborating from the Department of Culture, with their mayor María Ángeles Mazuecos at the head, who is coordinating the delivery of these products by the different districts house by house, or also through the pedáneo mayors who in many cases are responsible for distributing them among their neighbors so that they do not have to move from their homes, in addition to other workers from the City Council of the Protocol and Notification service.

They are also contacting us from nursing homes in the municipality so that we can send them these products, which we remember, we are trying to ensure that they are carried out in compliance with all the safety and sanitary hygiene measures for handling fabrics, elastics, materials for dressing gowns, leggings or visors and screens, among others.
