The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, together with the Councilor for Development, Isabel Casalduero, have supervised the end of the conditioning works for the Camino Marín. Mateos explained that "today we are visiting the final phase of the conditioning and improvement works for the infrastructure of the Camino Marín and its surroundings.

Specifically, at the moment, the horizontal signaling is being carried out, the marking of road signs after the renovation of the pavement to through asphalt and 60 new parking spaces have been created.

" The First Councilor has detailed that "the adaptation of these roads has been not only a request but a great need of the residents of the area but also of all those who, daily, circulate through these streets that were very neglected and that give access to services as important as the Lorca-Sutullena Health Center or the Police Station and, of course, the historic demand for the opening of a connection road between Alameda de Cervantes, one of the main arteries of our city, and this road.

" Mateos Molina has indicated that "the total surface on which it is operating is 3,400 square meters, proceeding to the completion of the pavement, the connection of two scuppers to the existing rainwater network and the underground channeling of the telecommunications network.

In addition , the sidewalks have been completed and a roundabout has been executed that connects with the new open street in order to better regulate traffic.

" The Mayor of Lorca recalled that "just a few months ago, and in record time, we managed to open the road perpendicular to this road, a connecting street 240 meters long, also converted into a cycle track, with a total surface of 1,200 square meters of sidewalk and the creation of 85 new parking spaces.A very important project to facilitate the lives of our neighbors and that, on arrival, we found stored in a drawer, paralyzed and with all the procedures completely frozen " Diego José Mateos has revealed that "from the Lorca City Council we are working to recover, little by little, normality, taking extreme measures of sanitary hygiene and safety, and to continue with the day-to-day life of our municipality".
