| To continue guaranteeing its closeness to citizens and increasing versatility | With these vehicles, which are already patrolling the streets of the municipality, the safety of the inhabitants of Lorca is strengthened and the agents are provided with the best means to carry out their functions and the great work they do daily.The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has presented, this morning, together with the Councilor for Citizen Security of the City Council, José Luis Ruiz Guillén and the Chief Commissioner of the Local Police of Lorca, José Antonio Sansegundo, the two new motorcycles that are added to the fleet that this municipal service has.The Mayor of Lorca explained that "these two new vehicles have been purchased from the Consistory that are already running the streets of our municipality, with the aim of continuing to guarantee the proximity of the Local Police Corps to our neighbors, as well as increasing versatility of the different operations, especially those related to road traffic, giving greater fluidity to it.

"Diego José Mateos has insisted that "what we are also pursuing is to reinforce the security of our neighbors and provide our agents with the best means to carry out their functions and the great work they do daily in our municipality."The First mayor has referred to the characteristics of the two new vehicles that make them suitable for police work, "as it is a motorcycle that is easy to maneuver and handle, with a low weight for its category, allowing comfortable driving in the urban environment ".As for the specificities of the new vehicles, these are two Honda brand motorcycles, model CB500X, 500 cc, with an 8-valve parallel liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine, producing 35 kW at 8,600 rpm (which it complies with the A2 card) and delivers a maximum torque of 43 Nm at 6500 rpm.In addition, they include full LED lighting for a contemporary design and optimal use of energy.

The high beam and low beam headlights, both LEDs, are located in the center of the headlights to reduce weight, size and electricity consumption.

The compact turn signals and clear tail lights give the bike a sporty touch.They have an emergency stop signal that helps keep you safe if you ever need to brake unexpectedly.

The system detects sudden braking and automatically activates flashing front and rear hazard lights to warn nearby vehicles.It should be noted that the Lorca Local Police has a fleet of 20 passenger cars; 14 motorcycles; three adaptable mixed cars; three vans and a closed box truck.On the other hand, the mayor wanted to publicly acknowledge "the work of these months of the Local Police, ensuring compliance with the state of alarm and the rules of confinement, without neglecting the daily work of the security of the municipality."
