| To assess the situation of the Muslim community during the coronavirus crisis | Diego José Mateos: "from the Moroccan Consulate they have thanked the special sensitivity shown by the Lorca City Council with the translation of a multitude of messages into the Arabic language to keep this percentage of inhabitants fully informed".The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, together with the Councilor for Education and Diversity, Antonia Pérez, have held a videoconference with the Moroccan Consul.Mateos explained that "this morning we held a meeting, by videoconference, with the Moroccan Consul in the Region of Murcia, Abdelaziz Jatim, with whom we have discussed issues as important as the situation we are experiencing due to the health crisis caused for the Covid-19 since it will involve changes in many aspects of life.
"The First Councilor has indicated that "we have valued the behavior of the population, in general, and the Moroccan Consulate has thanked the special sensitivity shown by the Lorca City Council with the translation of a multitude of messages into the Arabic language to keep this person fully informed percentage of inhabitants of this nationality residing in our municipality ".Mateos Molina has detailed that "education has been another of the topics discussed since the consul has been interested in the response that the Muslim community is having with educational centers and the new monitoring and study methods put in place to continue with training during this course and from home ".The Mayor of Lorca has highlighted "the concern that Muslims show, in the face of the arrival of summer, since many take advantage of these months to return to Morocco to visit their relatives, something that due to the current situation is not known what is going to happen finally.
"Diego José Mateos thanked "the predisposition to joint work and future common projects that the Consulate has shown at all times with the aim of continuing to bet on the full integration of the community".
