| The municipal canteens reopen their doors, according to sanitary regulations, and serving through their terraces, for which the City Council de Lorca gives the possibility of expanding its usual space | The Councilor for Citizen Participation of the Lorca City Council, José Ángel Ponce, has reported the reopening of the canteens of the municipality's social premises, complying with all the established hygienic-sanitary measures.
A reopening for which, from the responsible department, it has coordinated both with those directly responsible and with the neighborhood presidents. Ponce explained that "with the entry into phase 1 of de-escalation of the confinement caused by the coronavirus health crisis, as of this Monday, May 11, the canteens of the social premises have been able to restart their activity." "The start-up of these services has been preceded, in addition to the delivery of information material necessary for their owners to adapt their establishments to the situation caused by the coronavirus, by disinfection and cleaning work carried out by the volunteers of the service of Civil Protection and Emergencies ". In this first phase, as in the rest of hotel establishments, the municipal canteens will serve on their terrace.
For this, this group may also take advantage of the possibility of expanding terraces, enabled through the Heritage and Urban Planning services. In addition, the mayor recalled that "in the canteens its maximum capacity must be indicated, not exceed it at any time and ensure the maintenance of the interpersonal safety distance of two meters is respected inside.
It must also be made available to the public hydroalcoholic gel dispensers at the entrance of the premises and there should be bins with a lid and pedal and be cleaned at least once a day.
" The Edil has detailed that "to carry out the reopening of the outdoor terraces of the canteens safely, the number of tables allowed is limited to 50 percent, with ten people per table or group of tables being the maximum occupation provided the minimum distance of interpersonal security is respected, and these establishments can also take advantage of the economic reactivation measures approved by the City Council of Lorca and that allow for the increase in the surface area of ??the terraces provided that the measures of social distancing are complied with ". "For the provision of the service on the terraces, and to guarantee compliance with hygiene and prevention measures, the cleaning and disinfection of the equipment must be carried out: tables, chairs and any other contact surface between one client and another; it is preferable the use of single-use tablecloths; hydroalcoholic gel dispensers must be made available to the public; the use of cards in common use will be avoided and self-service products such as napkin holders, toothpicks, cruets, oil cans, and other similar utensils will be eliminated, prioritizing single-use disposable pods upon customer request.
In addition, dishes, glassware, cutlery or tablecloths should be stored in closed rooms or far from areas where customers and workers pass through.
" Ponce Díaz recalled that "at least twice a day, the facilities should be cleaned and disinfected, using solutions of freshly prepared water and bleach or using virulent disinfectants, paying special attention to the most frequent contact surfaces such as door knobs, counters, tables, railings, floors or faucets and those used by more than one worker.
In addition, after each cleaning, the materials used and the protective equipment used will be disposed of safely, proceeding after washing hands " . The Councilor for Citizen Participation has revealed that "an attempt will be made to avoid the use of the toilets and in case of need, their maximum occupation will be one person, except for those who require assistance, and cleaning and disinfection of the said toilets at least six times a day.
In addition, payment by card or other means that do not involve physical contact will be encouraged, avoiding, as far as possible, the use of cash and workers' clothing.
Washed and disinfected daily mechanically and in wash cycles between 60 and 90 degrees Celsius.
" José Ángel Ponce has indicated that "we ask for maximum responsibility when complying with all these measures since the objective is to gradually recover to normality and maintain the reduced numbers of people affected by coronaviruses that we have in Lorca." The opening of the social premises of neighborhoods and districts will have to wait As reported by the mayor of Citizen Participation, "although most of the outside terraces of the canteens, which are in the social premises, will open during this first phase, the opening of all these facilities will occur later". José Ángel Ponce has detailed that "the local and social centers of the municipality will continue to be closed by decision of the Lorca City Council according to restrictions regarding distance and social contact, and also by decision of the Government of the Autonomous Community, as well as the mayors of the Region were informed during the last video call held between representatives of the Regional Government and all the consistories.
