| "From Vox we are against the tax increase, since we believe that this will harm families and companies and hinder economic recovery" | The municipal group Vox in the Lorca City Council has registered a motion proposing that a 95 percent discount on capital gains tax be included in the municipal ordinance.Lorca, May 19, 2020.- At Vox we defend fair taxation, as low as possible and never disproportionate or confiscatory.

That is why we have requested that in case of inheritance a 95% discount be applied to the municipal capital gain.

In this way, if a citizen had to pay 100 euros, he should pay only 5 euros.For the Municipal Group of Vox in Lorca, their proposal is "a common sense measure", especially if the current economic circumstances caused by the mismanagement of the Government of Spain are taken into account, which are damaging the economy with misguided measures that they point to an unsustainable tax burden increase.

In this situation, Vox Lorca believes that the reduction of the inheritance capital gains tax should be applied as soon as possible.From Vox we remember that article 31 of the Spanish Constitution establishes that our tax system will not have "confiscatory scope" in any case.

However, from Lorca City Council this article is ignored while studying new forms of tax despite the economic difficulties that drag the majority of Lorca.At Vox Lorca we believe that citizens and companies do not need new taxes, but rather reductions in taxes that help them overcome the economic crisis and boost activity and consumption.The Capital Gains tax, after the execution of an inheritance, is added to others such as that of Inheritance and Donations, that of Real Estate or the incidence in the Income Tax of Physical Persons, so it should be an obligation that be rewarded.For Vox Lorca it is time to correct this imbalance that the tax system has maintained for years and the quickest and most effective way to do it is for the City Council to proceed to establish a 95% discount on the full amount of the Tax.
