| R to obtain fiscal aid to the productive fabric | The Municipal Groups of PP and Vox present this morning in plenary a joint urgent motion in this regardThe manifest insufficiency of the action of the current local government has forced these groups to classify the PSOE mayor's measures as "alms, insufficient, humiliating, very deficient and ambiguous", calling them from Ceclor and the Chamber of Commerce "vague" since "the business sector expected a much more ambitious plan"The councilor of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Francisco Javier Martínez, has reported that the PP has presented an urgent motion in the plenary session of the Municipal Council that is taking place this morning in which the just claims expressed by the Autonomous Workers Platform (PLAU), derived from the very poor reaction of the PSOE mayor to the crisis that this group is suffering under the current situation of COVID-19.Francisco Javier Martínez has indicated that we demand the immediate cancellation of 100% of the amount of the receipts for the water supply and garbage collection to the merchants, self-employed and hoteliers whose establishments have been affected by the coronavirus crisis. We demand in this motion, which is presented this morning jointly with Vox thanks to the support and sensitivity shown by its Municipal Group in our town hall, that the establishments considered "essential" be included in the possible lines of aid and tax credits municipal, after accreditation of having suffered losses or a decrease in their turnover due to the covid-19 crisis. As the representatives of Ceclor, the Chamber of Commerce and PLAU have explained, we request in the plenary session of the council that the current local government establish a battery of special tax credits aimed at the local productive sectors in crisis, which, among others, has which include the following:Bonus of 75% of the full amount of the property tax in which trade activities or retail and / or restaurant and catering services are carried out, which remain or have been closed during the state of alarm and those that prove losses or cessation of activity due to the Covid-19 crisis, for the financial years 2020 and 2021.In those properties in which commercial activities or retail and / or restaurant and catering services are carried out under the lease of business premises, the bonus will be 25% for the lessor owners who cut the rent in half, and the 50% for those who totally condone it, during the months in which the business remains closed or inactive as a result of the Covid-19 crisis. In the case of properties that constitute housing in which one or more people affected by ERTE, ERE or dismissal motivated by the Covid-19 crisis are registered, the bonus will amount to 20% in the case of those affected by an ERTE, and the 30% in the case of those affected by ERE or dismissal, for the years 2020 and 2021.Modification of the regulatory ordinance of the Tax on mechanical traction vehicles, establishing a 75% discount on those vehicles linked to activities of commerce or retail services and / or catering and hospitality, which remain or have been closed during the state of alarm and those that prove losses or cessation of activity due to the Covid-19 crisis, for the years 2020 and 2021.Modification of the regulatory ordinance of the Economic Activities Tax (IAE), establishing a 50% discount in the current financial year for companies that prove that their activity is severely ceased or decreased and / or losses caused by the Covid-19 crisisFrom the Platform of Autonomous (PLAU) of which 698 autonomous and SMEs of Lorca are part, they have denounced that the current government team breaches both the agreements of the plenary session of last May 5 and its commitments to said group, facts that have forced to launch protest actions in defense of their businesses and jobs- This group has publicly criticized that the government team has breached the agreement regarding the exemption of water and garbage receipts for the 2nd and 3rd bimesters, since they have already been charged the receipt corresponding to the first bi-monthly.Added to this is the fact that the current local government has excluded essential services businesses from all aid whose situation has been at least as hard as that of those that had to remain closed, having experienced significant losses and a decrease in their sales and services.
.The PLAU has also criticized the fact that they continue without specifying the economic amount of their aid.
These breaches have forced them to mobilize, with actions such as "Los Comercios en Vela", through which they denounce the serious situation they are going through, and have anticipated their intention to return all the water and garbage receipts corresponding to the second bimester of 2020.Both the mayor of the PSOE and his current government team have to reflect and rectify, given the protests expressed by this self-employed platform that, through a statement, has regretted, verbatim that "this was the time to have our local administration by our side and we see, sadly, that they are turning their backs on us.
"The manifest insufficiency of the current local government's action to help these workers forced them to classify their measures as "alms, insufficient, humiliating and ambiguous", showing that "they will end up being very deficient for the self-employed and SMEs of our municipality, taking into account the gravity of the situation we are going through.
"We must remember that in the Extraordinary Plenary on May 5, powerful and effective measures were proposed that did provide real help for families and the productive fabric of our municipality, and that were rejected by the government team of PSOE and Citizens, with the support of Izquierda Unida, causing the great discontent and frustration to which we have referred. We have also repeatedly warned of what would happen if the local government did not react with the courage that this type of situation demands, and it has not been many days that time has proved us right.
We agree with the PLAU that "The objective was and continues to be to save our commerce, our companies and the thousands of jobs that depend on them.
Seeing that our municipal administration has not understood the dimension of the problem that affects our commercial fabric and that it has not It is going to live up to the exceptional circumstances we suffer, we only have the indefinite temporary closure until the commercial normality of our municipality recovers.
What we fear is that for many it means the definitive closure and dismissal of all its employees " .It is evident that the hope that the Lorca society as a whole harbored that their city council would react to this economic catastrophe, has been clearly frustrated.
To the criticisms of the PLAU we must add the immediate and forceful response expressed by the most deeply rooted and experienced institutions in our municipality, as has been the case with CECLOR and the Chamber of Commerce, which they stated in a joint statement issued less than 24 hours after the plenary session on May 5, the current local government measures are "vague and do not bring anything new.
The business sector expected a much more ambitious plan."
