Fernández Lladó explained that during the last two months the Ministry has been working intensively in the processing of new public works tenders that favor the economic reactivation of the construction sector. Thus, he explained that the remodeling work of the regional highway that connects Puerto Lumbreras with the Lorca district of Almendricos (RM-D17) was recently awarded, and that section 1 of the South Central Round is in the process of being awarded.

Likewise, the remodeling of the Caravaca highway (RM-711) is currently underway. The head of Roads recalled that the urban regeneration work on Avenida de Europa de Lorca and adjacent streets, which include the railway station environment, has recently been completed and that it has had a regional investment worth 3 million euros .
