| The mayor of the PSOE is allowing the use of all communication channels of the city council to discredit, insult and belittle councilors of the Municipal Corporation, something that is totally FORBIDDEN | Yesterday they did it twice The deputy spokesperson of the Popular Party in the City of Lorca, Mª Belén Pérez, has reported that this political formation is going to proceed to transfer to the Transparency Council of the Region of Murcia the manifest, flagrant and repeated non-compliance that the mayor of the PSOE and His group of councilors are committing against the Institutional Communication Law of the Region of Murcia.
They are systematically breaking the Law from the first day of the legislature.
So far we have come. The PP is forced to take this measure because the current mayor of Lorca, Mr.
Diego J.
Mateos, has been repeatedly warned that he and his group are continuously and systematically violating the Communication and Advertising Law Institutional of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
In fact, there have been repeated occasions on which the Municipal People's Group has been warned that it cannot use the institutional channels, tools and means of the city council to spread lies, discredit its own colleagues in the Municipal Corporation or develop campaigns of discredit against individuals or political groups for the simple fact of not sharing their ideological thinking. We have already repeatedly warned the PSOE mayor in recent months that all municipal information must respect Law 13/2018 on Institutional Communication of the Region of Murcia, approved by the Regional Assembly and published in the BORM in December 2018. This Law expressly prohibits mayors and government groups from using the communication channels of the City Council for their own benefit, and here in Lorca they do nothing but twist the public media to do political marketing.
They even go so far as to criticize, insult and discredit councilors of the City Council itself using these means, when, as the Law indicates, communications "that implicitly or explicitly question other institutions, entities or persons (...) in non-institutional communication other institutions, entities or people should be questioned.
" Mª Belén Pérez has stressed that the Law establishes that the communication of the city council must "respect the rights to honor, privacy and self-image and should not denigrate any person or social group, religion, thought or democratic ideology".
The PSOE mayor's group has violated this rule, for example, in the statements made yesterday by two of its councilors and disseminated from the media of the city council, in which the Popular Party was disqualified through lies and false accusations such as that "it puts the partisan interests first", "those of the PP try to put on the medal", "the proposal of the PP is populist, unfeasible and illegal", "Popular Party and VOX have demonstrated with the presentation of this motion little political height", "they play bad politics with the expectations of so many people "," PP and Vox are dedicated to trying to enervate the affected groups ". The Law prevents what the PSOE mayor is doing, since it literally "prohibits partisan institutional communication, the use of institutional advertising as an element of personal propaganda for public officials, prohibiting points of similarity with advertising that leads to hold any political party. The PSOE mayor and his government team have stagnated in arrogance and take criticism very badly.
They have turned their backs on people.
His reactions when others think about his measures are snubbed and visceral, guided by an unusual rancor.
They should reflect on what they are doing, because as the current government they should offer an example of loyalty, instead of stagnating "opposition from the opposition." We also demand that they publicly ask for forgiveness through the institutional media and channels of the city council for what they are doing.
We are tied between Pedro Sánchez and Mr.
Mateos, one persecuting and censuring those who criticize him and the other using public means to lie and disqualify. We demand that they stop using public services for exclusively partisan purposes, because they are using the resources of the city council to benefit the PSOE, rather than to solve people's problems.
The transfer of these infractions against the Institutional Communication Law to the Transparency Council does not exhaust the possibility of sending them to other instances, a possibility that we reserve for the moment. The list of occasions in which the mayor of the PSOE and his group have violated the Law is very long, the following being some of the most significant examples: What does the law say? What does the PSOE government say? " Institutional campaigns must be clearly removed from the propaganda of political parties, both in the background and in the aesthetics used ." 11/27/2019: "The way the Socialist Party works has nothing to do with that of the Popular Party", even adding its motto of the electoral campaign: "a Lorca that wants to shine again". "Institutional campaigns must respect the rights to honor, privacy and self-image (...) should not denigrate any person or social group religion, thought or democratic ideology" 10/24/2019: "The Popular Party does not believe in the redistribution of wealth but in keeping it all for them." "Institutional communication may not have in any case content that is deceptive, unfair, subliminal or hidden." 11/26/2019: "The Popular Party does not miss the opportunity to supply its lack of ideas and work." "The institutional communication will meet the criteria of protection of the right to honor, tolerance, respect and democratic civility (...) should not be implicitly or explicitly questioned to other institutions, entities or people." 11/26/2019: "Lack of desire of the Popular Party to work" (...) "example of the negligence of the previous government team" (...) 10/25/2019: "for the Popular Party, the residents of our districts are second-rate Lorca" (...) "now they have the nerve to claim"
