The Limusa Board of Directors has appointed Francisco Ibáñez Martínez as the new director of the company, after several decades of public dedication within this municipal entity.
Until now, he has been the head of the Traffic department as a Senior Technician, being in charge of the human team component of services as complex as the ORA and urban transport, negotiated that he assumed in September 2019 from the Lorca City Council . Last month, Ibáñez undertook coordination of all services (street cleaning, waste collection, interior cleaning and his own) with satisfactory results in all areas within the framework of the health alert.
Highlighting the integration of social dialogue between the daily functions that have absorbed us all these past months. The Mayor of Lorca and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Diego José Mateos, recalled that "in this new stage, the objectives are to advance along the lines that the company has taken throughout its history as a public tool, not only in its most well-known facet urban sanitation but also in environmental sustainability, reinforcing its contribution to strict regulatory compliance, promoting social dialogue and digitizing the production processes of what could be considered one of the largest industries in Lorca ". For his part, the Deputy Mayor, Councilor for Public Companies and Counselor, Francisco Morales, has stated that with the appointment of the new director of the company, the objective of the government team regarding the search for business efficiency continues to be developed under criteria of professionalism and transparency, moving away from political criteria, for which reason it celebrates the agreement ratified by a majority of the Board of Directors. Morales recalled that "among the immediate objectives is an optimization of the company's assets and a greater technification in mechanical means, adopting sustainable solutions in the service of the environment, improving the qualification of its human resources and betting on the circular economy , especially given the environmental regulatory challenges that are presented to us as the organic container and the separation at source of plastics ". In any case, Morales has stated that "the main value and mission of the company will continue to be directed to the citizen, as a municipal public service, that is, controlling the quality of the services in order to improve customer satisfaction and sharing their business management in a clear exercise of co-governance and social responsibility ". Approval of various contracts On the other hand, in said Board of Directors the cleaning contract for the districts has been approved, which has been awarded to a company in Lorca worth almost 220,000 euros for a two-year term; as well as other contracts that were paralyzed due to the health crisis, such as the hiring of personnel for the treatment and recovery of materials for an approximate amount of 446,000 euros; and lastly, the technical assistance contract for the Barranco Hondo Waste Management Center for two years for an amount of 81,000 euros.
