The Councilor for Education and Libraries of the City of Lorca, Antonia Pérez has reported the news regarding the libraries that are launched from this Monday, June 8, with the entry of the Region of Murcia to Phase 3 of de-escalation. Antonia Pérez has detailed that "in this way the municipal library 'Pilar Barnés', following Order SND / 458/2020 of May 30, expands its services as established, always prioritizing the protection of health and safety of both the library as well as for the users of the library services ". As a novelty, explained the mayor "study is allowed in the room, with an authorized maximum of up to 50% of the capacity, but always complying with the interpersonal distance of two meters in all cases, and always with the use of a mask when this does not it can be ensured, as well as with all the required cleaning and hygiene measures, in addition Pérez Segura has specified that "for this, the basement floor (Library Study room) and the 1st Floor (Consultation Room) have been adapted, with a total of 57 study spaces distributed 25 in the basement study room and 32 on the 1st floor (called the consultation room) and 2 places reserved for specific consultations in that room.
" The councilor has also pointed out that "the rest of the services are maintained, such as the extended loan, refunds, use of public computers, reading in the room and consultation in the room up to 50% capacity and interlibrary loan that have already been operating for two years weeks, with the entry into phase 2 of the de-escalation ". Finally, the mayor of Education and Libraries has reminded all users of the need to comply with the rules to avoid crowds and that we can all enjoy the services offered by these facilities, especially the opening of the study room, something very demanded, above all, by young people who face the end-of-course exams, but we must remember that these deadlines are being set by the health authorities.

to 2 p.m.
and from 4 p.m.
to 9 p.m., remaining closed on Saturdays until after the summer.
