Diego José Mateos has had a heartfelt memory with the almost 150 Murcians who died from the coronavirus: "family, friends and neighbors who have left us as a result of this disease that has fully burst into our lives, demonstrating our vulnerability, but also making us even more strong as a collective.
" The Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has congratulated all Murcia and Murcia on June 9, Day of the Region of Murcia. The Mayor of Lorca recalled that "on this day, 38 years ago, the Statute of Autonomy for the Region of Murcia was approved, our own Constitution for all residents of the Region, the norm in which the institutions, the customs and laws that have marked these 38 years already traveled and the many that still lie ahead ". Diego José Mateos has highlighted that "the Statute of Autonomy has made us stronger and evolve, something that we are all sure will continue to make the Region of Murcia grow as a Community, supporting each other, some municipalities with others to do an increasingly prosperous and ever-growing Murcia ". Mateos Molina has highlighted, in this sense, "the fundamental role of the municipalities for the construction and cohesion of the Region, for the improvement of well-being, of the environment, and, ultimately, in achieving a better future for all Murcians" . A work for which it is also necessary, said the Mayor of Lorca, "the political union for certain issues that affect us all as citizens of this Region, and for which we all have to go hand in hand, without colors, without interests partisan, and that is what our neighbors demand of us on a daily basis.
" The First mayor has hoped that next year we can enjoy this great day for the Region in these circumstances, since this year's celebration will undoubtedly be marked by the health crisis we are witnessing.
" Finally, the Mayor of Lorca also wanted to have a special and heartfelt memory with the nearly 150 Murcians who died of the coronavirus, our family, friends, and neighbors, who have left us as a result of this disease that has broken into our lives, demonstrating our vulnerability, but making us strong in the union of the collective.
