The mayor has reiterated that "all human and material resources will be put in place, as well as the pertinent measures to pursue this type of criminal conduct and that it can be sanctioned for what is considered a serious offense, which would carry a fine of 901 euros." The Councilor for the Environment of the City of Lorca, José Luis Ruiz Guillén, has reported the cleaning, this past Saturday, of uncontrolled dumping of rubble in a section of the Rambla de La Torrecilla. The mayor of the Environment explained that "more than 45 tons of rubbish dumped in a 1.8 kilometer stretch on the Rambla de La Torrecilla have been removed through an authorized manager and specific machinery." José Luis Ruiz Guillén has detailed that "among the waste were mainly tiles, concrete, plaster, brick and metal carpentry.

In addition, household garbage has also been removed, which in just a week has been accumulated in said section". Ruiz Guillén has pointed out that "this action complements the one carried out a few days ago by the municipal cleaning company, Limusa, which removed some 780 kilos of rubbish and fixtures dumped in the same section, the vast majority of furniture, fixtures of home origin, domestic garbage and phytosanitary chemical containers ". Lastly, the person in charge of the Environment has reiterated that all the human and material resources, as well as the pertinent measures to prosecute this type of criminal conduct and that may punish offenders, will be put in place by the Department of the Environment and Citizen Security.

It should be noted that the regulations that apply are Law 22/2011, of July 28, on contaminated waste and soil, the precept violated article 43.3 c) uncontrolled abandonment, dumping or disposal of any type of non-hazardous waste without that the health of persons has been seriously endangered or that damage or deterioration to the environment has occurred. Being considered a serious offense, which would entail an economic sanction of 901 euros, as well as the replacement of the altered situation to its original state.
