At this point there are no more delays or excuses, because we are not talking about executing works or projects that require time, it is simply that they communicate how many representatives each party will have in each Neighborhood Board so that they can begin to function.The calls from the residents of both the urban area and the districts demanding that these decentralization entities be launched are incessant.
No one understands what is happening and they demand urgent solutions.The abandonment to which the current mayor has condemned the districts and neighborhoods, and the degradation that the entire municipal area is suffering because they do not comply with the most basic maintenance tasks, has made the residents more eager and excited now than ever for launching these Neighborhood Boards, and from the Popular Party we support this initiative.Mr.
Mateos remains idle in this regard and continues to carry out the election of the pediatric mayors "by finger", after having demonized the appointments when they were made by the PP.
People want the Neighborhood Boards to be constituted now because they are not resigned to the degradation suffered by neighborhoods and districts due to the ineffectiveness of the PSOE mayor.
The people of Lorca want to decide, and they want to have the same participation that exists in the large municipalities of our Region, such as Murcia and Cartagena.We have heard the mayor of the PSOE now talk about launching a "pilot project" of a neighborhood council in the district that he deems appropriate, something to which we are frontally opposed because all Lorca have the same right to have their neighborhood council independently from your place of residence.
Politically directed discrimination cannot be established to try to set up neighborhood councils only in the neighborhoods and districts in which the PSOE is interested.
They have to be constituted as it is done throughout Spain: in all neighborhoods and districts simultaneously.Mari Huertas García has stated that there is no experimentation with Lorca, here there is no room for undemocratic inventions, as well as the attitudes and bad forms that some pediatric mayors imposed by Mr.
Mateos are showing in their districts.
We must remind the current mayor that he should make it clear to these people that they are not political commissioners, but are at the service of citizens, not at the service of partisan propaganda of the PSOE.
