It is not understandable that the apartments have been empty for more than a year and the current local government has ignored in such an irresponsible way the suffering of these families. Today they have said enough is enough, and we, as we have done from the first moment, are going to be with them in all the actions they decide to undertake.
We have been publicly denouncing for months that the mayor of the PSOE has insisted on leading the city council with his back to the people, and this is a very revealing example of the degradation that Lorca are suffering because of a government group that focuses its efforts to keep hidden the unspeakable pacts they hatched to storm the mayor's office. This situation has reached a point of no return, their patience has been exhausted because they are seeing that the PSOE mayor is "playing" with very humble families, with economic situations that have been aggravated by current circumstances. From the PP we consider that these people should never have been brought to a limit situation like the one they are suffering.
We will support any claim that they freely decide to undertake, because, as they have transferred to us, they have realized that dialogue with the current mayor is totally useless. We have to remember that the Popular Party has already warned the PSOE mayor repeatedly that he had to solve this issue, but he did not want to address this issue, causing a scenario of extreme need against the affected families, which today, because of the unjust lack of attention they suffer, they have said "we have come this far". The floors are empty, "giggling," as these people suffer the pasotism of a failed, exhausted, and callous local government.
The current local government has not shown any political will to resolve the issue.

We continue to demand that the opinion of the neighbors be an indispensable condition when drafting, developing and delivering the homes to the beneficiary families. It is a measure of pure "common sense", since the main supporters of the reconstruction of the neighborhood deserve that their voice has specific weight when it comes to establishing what is done with these properties.
What is clear is that the opportunity for rebirth that San Fernando has after the earthquakes cannot be cut short by repeating mistakes and erratic models from other times, much less do it against the opinion of the neighbors.
