| Before the return of the students to the classrooms in September | Now, months in advance, it is when we are in time to foresee that these spaces are in optimal conditions so that during school hours they comply with all health and safety regulations.The Councilor for Education in the municipality of Lorca for the Popular Party, Pedro Mondéjar, has proposed the preparation of a Contingency Plan for Public Spaces, which can be used to teach, if necessary, for each of the educational centers of the municipality, so that the Municipal Council has a rigorous document that foresees all the situations that may arise with the return of Lorca students to classrooms next September.We believe that the city council has to get to work now to avoid problems in a few months.

It is the moment to act with the foresight and the responsibility demanded by the conjuncture generated by the coronavirus.

That is why we demand the preparation of a census of buildings and facilities that can be used by educational centers.Now, months in advance, it is when we are in time to foresee that these spaces are in optimal conditions, so that during school hours they comply with all the health regulations that make them safe areas.

We request that the census of buildings that can be used by educational centers consider alternatives for each of the centers throughout the municipality, regardless of whether they are in the urban area, as in each of our districts.This space contingency plan has to be prepared with sufficient quality and rigor to serve as a useful tool for many years, and can be used by educational centers for the development of specific activities that need different spaces than usual, or before any other circumstance that may arise.Pedro Mondéjar has stated that the time to do this is now, and that is why we demand that they immediately get to work on this plan, so that it does not catch them by surprise and they have to improvise and tow what we have been pointing out since the PP.

It is evident that the mayor of the PSOE has everything stopped and degrading, and that his group is exhausted and failed, so we will have to continue setting the pace for them.Our schools and our teachers have had to reinvent themselves, from one day to the next, without prior notice, having to respond to the needs of their educational community, especially parents and students, in record time due to the pandemic.

The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Region of Murcia has responded immediately and with different actions to the change so violent that it meant a transformation in the organization in all its aspects, trying to reach each and every one of the students.

But this does not stop here, the return to the classrooms in September is very complicated.

In other unfortunate statements, the minister proposed the "genius" of using other spaces in the center that are not prepared for that function to teach, or to delete the space for subjects that this minister considers secondary, such as Art Education or Physical Education.
