The Councilor for Finance of the Lorca City Council, Isidro Abellán, has announced the approval of a new budget modification to launch the second phase of funds for the payment of aid for self-employed and micro-businesses affected by the health crisis. Abellán explained that "this Government Team has brought to the Municipal Ordinary Plenum corresponding to the month of July the budget modification necessary to provide funds for the second phase of aid applications for self-employed and micro-businesses affected by the health crisis that we launched the last May 31 ". The mayor explained that "thanks to this budgetary modification, we mobilized 200,000 euros more to cover, thus, cover all the aid granted and that payment of the same may occur in a short time." Abellán Chicano has insisted that "with this modification, and once all the application files are closed, at the same time, the transfers of the aid corresponding to each one of the applications will take place." The Councilor for Finance recalled that "this action that occurs after the approval of a first phase, of 500,000 euros, and that we are now expanding with 200,000 euros, as was our commitment, and this Government Team, of course, will will comply.
" Isidro Abellán has revealed that "the total amount mobilized to alleviate the effects caused by the Covid-19 in our freelancers, merchants and hoteliers, is 700,000 euros and, I would like to stress that we must continue to maintain all sanitary and hygienic measures to guarantee the safety of all, since we cannot afford to take a step back, neither in health nor in economic matters.
