The Chamber reopens in its usual summer hours after its precautionary closure, together with the rest of the security measures taken by the Lorca City Council, when an outbreak of Covid-19 was detected in the municipality on July 27. The Councilors for Education and Culture of the City Council of Lorca, Antonia Pérez and María Ángeles Mazuecos, have announced the reopening of the Study Room of the Mayor José María Campoy Cultural Center. The mayor of Education explained that "the Study Room located in the Cultural Center of the city will reopen its doors from next Monday, August 10, in its usual summer hours, that is, from 8 to 14 hours and from 16 to 21 hours ". Antonia Pérez has detailed that "it was on Monday July 27 when, due to the information transmitted to us by the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia about the appearance of an outbreak of people affected by the Covid-19 virus, when immediately from the City Council of Lorca we adopted security measures that would allow us to stop its progress sharply and, one of these measures, was the precautionary closure of the Study Room that will be back in service next Monday ". The Councilor for Education has insisted that "we open the room but we have to continue to be prudent and responsible, we must continue to comply with all the hygienic and sanitary measures established by the health authorities so as to maintain the interpersonal distance of two meters and, if this could not be fulfilled, you should always use the mask.
" For her part, the mayor of Culture, María Ángeles Mazuecos, stressed that "in this way, we continue to offer this infrastructure, located in the Cultural Center, so that all those students who wish to have a place to study, in other words, we continue to offer a basic service, prioritizing at all times the protection of health and safety for both users of the Room and center staff.
