| The current Government Team responds to the proposal launched by the Popular Party, which was already proposed years ago, but in which it is already working and for which various locations are valued | The Deputy Mayor of Lorca and Councilor for Tourism and the spokesperson for the Lorca City Council Government team, Francisco Morales and Isabel Casalduero respectively, have referred to the proposal made this morning by the Popular Municipal Group for the creation of an 'Area of Urban Motorhomes' in an area of ??the Rueda park. Francisco Morales explained that his council has been working for a long time on the possibility of Lorca having a space for motorhomes.

In this sense, the council is evaluating various locations in addition to the Huerto de la Rueda itself. The Councilor for Tourism recalled that "from the Autonomous Community a new decree is being processed for the management of campsites and motorhome areas in the Region with the aim of providing higher quality to this tourism modality and that it will implement a new categorization of these facilities, so from the City Council we are waiting for the new regional regulations so that this new space can already adapt to it ". For her part, the spokesperson for the Government team recalled that "the Popular Party is late with this proposal that we already made from the Socialist Municipal Group three years ago, precisely when the PP was governing this City Council.

A proposal that we made with the objective of to attract this type of tourism to the municipality, which we considered very viable and beneficial for Lorca, but which at that time they did not take into account ". Morales concluded by highlighting "this is a proposal that has been sounding and being proposed for some years now, but has never been put into practice before.

This government team is already working on transforming this proposal into a reality that can attract more tourists and visitors to Lorca and a safe type of tourism that would help to de-seasonalize trismus from which our municipality does not currently benefit but for which we enjoy a good geographical location ".
