" Diego José Mateos has insisted that "vigilance, which we have already been carrying out through the Local Police, will be increased to comply with mandatory measures such as the use of a mask, as well as control of those who have tested positive for coronavirus and have to respect the prescribed quarantine period.
" The Mayor has reiterated that "our hand will not shake when applying sanctions for non-compliance, and these people must be clear that the full weight of the Law will fall on them." Mateos recalled that "it is in each of us to be able to cut the transmission chain by strictly complying with the measures, whether in our homes, with family, our friends, in the workplace or also at the time of carrying out the purchase". The mayor of Lorca recalled that "any person who has been diagnosed as a positive case by Covid-19 is obliged to maintain a home isolation of 14 days, a measure that must also be complied with by all those who are considered as close or very close contact that infected person ".
To ensure this compliance, Area III Health has hired several social workers to reinforce this monitoring; a task for which more than 1,500 home calls are made daily. In the same way, Mateos has insisted that "at the slightest, as soon as any symptom related to Covid-19 is detected, it must be reported immediately to your health center, and that person will be immediately given an appointment for the performance of diagnostic tests ".
