" The Councilor for Social Services of the Lorca City Council, María Dolores Chumillas, reported this morning about the reinforcement of care that is being carried out in recent weeks from this municipal service. The Councilor for Social Services has detailed that "thanks to the multidisciplinary work that has been carried out from the beginning from the Council, from Social Services is providing personalized attention and covering the basic needs of all those affected as a result of the health crisis." María Dolores Chumillas explained that "during this month the coverage for food and hygiene has also been strengthened, since due to the coronavirus they cannot go to their workplace, taking into account that for many of these workers their only income is money that they receive in exchange for their working hours that they cannot now comply with because they have to keep the mandatory quarantine period ". Chumillas Martínez has pointed out that "from the municipal Social Services they are acquiring basic food and hygiene products, thanks to the study and evaluation work carried out by the social workers of the Consistory and the distribution work carried out through the municipal Service of Emergencies and Civil Protection, are reaching those people with fewer economic resources so that they can feed themselves during the time they have to be, by medical pre-registration, without leaving home ". The mayor of Social Services has highlighted that "with the aim of increasing the tracking work that is being carried out of those possible cases of coronavirus infections, the Murcian Health Service (SMS) has reinforced this service with the incorporation of several social workers assigned to health centers ".
