| The first edition of the Fundación Iniciativas el Gigante awards will be presented in a ceremony that will take place in the coming weeks | About twenty organizations, entities and people have attended the first edition of the 2020 Gigantes Awards of the Iniciativas el Gigante Foundation.

The president of the Iniciativas el Gigante Foundation, Francisco Per n Albarrac n, stated that the awards are necessary to "make visible to society the importance of socially responsible companies, social entities and volunteers, as a community development tool.
" Another of its tasks is to "recognize the work of the companies and volunteers that move towards a more just society, as well as the dedication of individual volunteers within the entities, whose work serves as an example to the younger generations ", added Per n Albarrac n.

"It shows that the volunteering in our region is in very good health", while he has insisted on pointing out that the main objective of the awards is "to make known the companies that are betting on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) , to the solidarity work of the entities of the Guadalent n Region, and to the individuals who with their silent work make this society more and more fair.
In the next few days, the awards jury will meet to determine the winners in each of the categories, socially responsible company, social entity and volunteer.
All of them will receive a trophy, a sculpture by the artist from Lorca ngel Guill n Gomariz- in which the sun of the City of the Sun appears recreated, held by two hands that symbolize support and solidarity.
After the distinguished ones are made known, the delivery act will be carried out subject -in terms of dates- by the current pandemic situation in which we find ourselves.
