| To know the volume of accumulated losses after the rescue of the company | The mayor of the Socialists has ruined Limusa in just a few months, going from being a company that entered the city council up to 1.7 million euros per year, to dragging losses of 520,000 euros already last month of August.

The Municipalist Pact of Fulgencio Gil includes as one of its basic pillars recovering the reins of Limusa to turn it into a profitable company for the people of Lorca, instead of the current ruin that it represents for the pocket of the citizens.

The councilor responsible for Limusa in the town hall of Lorca for the Popular Party, Juan Miguel Bayonas, has asked the current mayor to immediately transfer the statement of accounts presented by the municipal company Limusa at the close of the fiscal year corresponding to the year 2020.

We are seriously concerned about the rate of losses that the mayor of the PSOE has caused in Limusa.

Already in the month of August all alarms went off because for the first time in twelve years, Mr.

Mateos had dragged red numbers to the company.

We must remember that this situation did not occur since 2007, the year in which from the Popular Party we began our management at the head of the city council, inheriting a debt of 105.4 million euros in the municipal coffers , with Limusa at that time in a deficit situation that exceeded 200,000 euros.

After intense management work, and overcoming episodes that it is better not to remember, we managed to straighten the course of the company, and it was only a few months after generating positive figures, which in several years far exceeded one million.

With PP Limusa it obtained surpluses of € 341,700 in 2014, 784,472 in 2015, 1.2 million in 2016, 1.7 million in 2017, 944,000 in 2018 and 205,200 in 2019.

The current mayor has ruined Limusa in just a few months, and from our political formation we do not want this situation to get any worse.

The company was giving money to the municipal coffers, enabling the construction of its new logistics headquarters in front of the Huerto de la Rueda campus and the comprehensive modernization of the facilities of the Barranco Hondo Waste Management Center .

However, as soon as the PSOE has touched it, the red numbers have returned, and it has already cost Lorca an injection of 500,000 euros that has come from our tax money, which constitutes a serious setback s for the municipal coffers.

We want to know how the year 2020 has been closed, and that is information that we demand that the mayor of the PSOE send us urgently, because the account balance is obtained automatically.

We don't want to find any more negative surprises like the one in August.

A month ago we already warned Mr.

Mateo that we wanted the status of Limusa's accounts to be delivered to us on a monthly basis after having had to rescue the company for his terrible management.

Mateos is not involved in the management of the company.

So far his work leaves much to be desired.

We want the data to be transferred to us on a monthly basis and quarterly account closings to prevent losses that are already accumulating from worsening.

We demand, in addition, that the mayor of the socialists clarify what the repercussion of the new plans of the Pedro S nchez government will be in terms of urban waste management, since we have had to learn from the press that the Ministry of Ecological Transition is going to introduce a new tax in this regard.

We demand that this new tax that the PSOE of Diego Jos Mateos wants to impose from the Ministry of Ecological Transition does not affect in any case in the pocket of Lorca, since the waste is deposited in the municipal landfill of Barranco Hondo, which we left perfectly equipped and modernized, thanks to the construction of a new vessel with a capacity for 40 years.

What we are not going to allow is that after raising the IBI, municipal rates, inventing new payments in municipal services, raising electricity, gas, fuels, the purchase of a vehicle, sugary drinks, the quota of the self-employed, and not give a penny of help to the merchants, hoteliers and the self-employed, above all be tempted to also upload the garbage receipt.

What the PSOE of Diego Jos Mateos wants is that the municipality pay 40 euros for each ton that it deposits in the landfill, within other measures that have already been released to public information.
