The mayor of Lorca, Diego Jos Mateos, has announced the urgent call for the municipality's COVID-19 Monitoring Commission.

Mateos explained that "given the escalation of COVID infections both in the municipality of Lorca and in the rest of the Murcia Region, I have decided to convene in an extraordinary and urgent way the COVID-19 Monitoring Commission to tomorrow, Thursday, January 14, at 9 am ".

Mateos Molina has indicated that "in this Commission the municipal councilors and technicians of Health, Emergencies, Occupational Risks and Local Police among others are represented and in which we will make an assessment from the point of technical point of view to adopt whatever measures are necessary, from the point of view of the powers of the Lorca City Council, to stop this increase in the number of infections ".
