Marisol S�nchez: "in the face of the systematic lies and slander of the Popular Party, with a completely failed project, the commitment of the Government of Spain and the PSOE with facts, with the publication of the project in the Bolet�n Official of the State and a budget of more than 16 million euros " The National Socialist deputy, Marisol S�nchez, announced this morning that "today, January 18, 2021, promptly and swiftly, the Government of Spain is taking the first step to start the construction works ½n of the Palace of Justice of Lorca ".
"This morning we are in front of the place where the Lorca Palace of Justice will be located because we are precisely here to inform and demonstrate with facts what we have always been manifesting, the commitment of the Government of Spain to the construction of the Palace of Justice ".
S�nchez has highlighted that "in the face of the constant and systematic lies of the Popular Party, the councilors of the PP in Lorca and their national positions that we have had to endure due to a 'sloppy' project that they left from the Palace of Justice and that from the PSOE we have had to correct all the errors and all the complications that they left and that made the execution of the project unfeasible ".
The national deputy highlighted that "already on December 23, even before the General State Budgets were approved, the Government of Spain already put out to tender the drafting of the project and the direction of works of construction of the new building of the Palace of Justice of Lorca for a value of 600,000 euros, informing, in addition, that the presentation of the offers was until January 12 and that the opening of the same will take place ½ next January 27 ".
"It should also be noted that the contracting modality that is being followed, as indicated in the Official State Gazette, is an 'accelerated open' procedure and is textually justified as' a urgent need ', that is to say, that the works of the Palace of Justice for the Government of Spain are literally' an urgent need '".

Marisol S�nchez has insisted that all the necessary steps are being taken to award the construction works of the Palace of Justice as soon as possible, at the end of this year or early 2021, a project for which the Socialist Party has doubled the investment, to 16 million euros, compared to the 8 contemplated by the PP and, in addition, we accelerate the processes to materialize this infrastructure so important to Lorca as soon as possible ".
For his part, the mayor of Lorca and secretary general of the PSOE in Lorca, Diego Jos� Mateos, thanked the national deputy, Marisol S�nchez, for the enormous work that has been done to correct the serious errors that have been dragging on the poisoned inheritance of the construction project of the Palace of Justice of Lorca after 12 years of government of the PP ".
Mateos has pointed out that "the increase in investment, these 16 million euros compared to the 8 million awarded by the Popular Party, are not only justified by the enormous foundation errors that the project of construction of the Palace of Justice if not because the PP only planned the execution of a first phase of the Palace of Justice.
The Popular Party has been deceiving us all these years by assuring that they were going to carry out the Complete courthouse when they only had a first phase budgeted and projected ".
"With this new wording of the project, the site will be fully acted upon and the entire Palace of Justice will be built as a whole, not like the botch planned by the PP to first create a part and, once in march, it will be seen ".
The mayor of Lorca has shown that "from the Socialist Party we carry out two very important questions in this process.
First, undertake the construction of the Palace of Justice in one go and, secondly, maintain the commitment to the historic center, location, which was also questioned by the members of the PP, remains in the same place planned, in the historic center of the city and with a budget large enough for be a reality as we have always maintained ".
Diego Jos� Mateos has stressed that "it will not be an easy project but what is done now is to select the architect who will complement that project that fell short, both in the foundation and in the complete construction of the infrastructure.
Those 16 million euros that the Government of Spain includes in the General State Budgets and will be used to work in an integral way ".
