| Pedro Sosa, Municipal Spokesperson for Izquierda Unida, has presented this morning two of the initiatives that, in the form of a plea, he will defend on behalf of his group at the ordinary municipal plenary session in January to be held next Monday 25 | Through the first IU intends that the repair of the forest track of the Peà ± a Rubia in the Sierra del Caà ± o be undertaken as soon as possible.
Sosa points out in his initiative that "weather, meteorological factors, use, earthquakes, etc., irremediably deteriorate communication routes, making it necessary to schedule regular maintenance of them so that all these factors do not end up making them impassable and that is what happens in the busy forest track that, starting from the same canyon of the Los Pilones place, runs parallel to the path of the Cejo until the middle of its route, and later continue along the southern slope of that mountain range in the direction of the Peà ± a Rubia in the first place and several crossroads that lead to various rural areas of Lorca afterwards " That track of municipal ownership, maintains the mayor of IU, does not seem to have regular maintenance and, in addition, currently presents numerous sinkholes, erosions in part of its route with loss of road surface, danger of rock fall in some areas, etc., which must be stopped to give security to the citizens who pass through it.
For this reason, IU requires the local government to take the appropriate steps so that an intervention is undertaken as soon as possible along the entire route of the aforementioned forest track to eliminate risks and correct damages.
The second of the IU initiatives presented by its municipal spokesperson, this time in the form of a question, has to do with the world of motorhomes.
Again Sosa has affirmed that this question responds to a citizen request that has come to his political group.
The mayor of IU maintains that in the last decades there have been several occasions in which the need to enable in Lorca a "reserved parking area for caravans, motorhomes and cmpers" has been raised in plenary session, which was equipped with the usual basic services: drinking water connections, battery recharging, cleaning, etc.
The last time this matter was addressed at the municipal headquarters, the IU mayor continues to express his initiative, it was in the summer of last year.
Then the local government affirmed that "from the Autonomous Community a new decree was being processed for the management of campsites and motorhome areas in the Region, with the aim of providing higher quality to these tourist modalities, so the City Council is waiting for the new regional regulations so that this new space can already adapt to it ".
Half a year later, and before the evident normative paralysis of some councils of the CARM Government, IU asked the local government of Lorca two questions How much longer does the local government of Lorca believe that our municipality will continue without having the aforementioned area? Would it not be more appropriate to enable the aforementioned area now, with the usual services provided in similar areas, and, if necessary, adapt it if necessary to any eventual regulatory provision that does not do we know if someday it will be published black on white in the BORM? function { ;(, , {});}
