| After several months of work | The mayor, Diego José Mateos, has detailed that "from the Consistory we make available to the General Directorate of Roads of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia the land necessary for the work to begin as soon as possible and that, among others , will allow the improvement of road safety ".

The mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos, has announced that "the Lorca City Council has finalized the expropriation proceedings for the land necessary for the conditioning and improvement of the D-8 highway in Aguaderas and Campo López, as well as for the widening and improvement of the RM C-9 and RM-503 highways that connect with Zarzadilla de Totana ".

Mateos explained that "this coming Monday we will take to the ordinary plenary session for the month of January the final approval of both projects that were already unanimously approved in the plenary session last June.

The Mayor has recalled regarding the Zarzadilla de Totana road that "the Consistory has worked to obtain the necessary land to carry out these works in a section of six kilometers closer to the town, in response to an old neighborhood request and that It will allow the travel time to Lorca to be reduced by almost 10 minutes ".

Mateos Molina has detailed that "it is a work financed with a loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and for which the Autonomous Community and the City Council have been expropriated due to the refusal of some neighbors".

For his part, for the necessary work for the conditioning of the road that connects the districts of Aguaderas and Campo López, the mayor of Lorca has specified that "from the mayor's office we took a motion to the plenary session last October, which was unanimously approved , to carry out the expropriation of several adjoining lands that it was necessary to dispose of and that the previously approved project did not include ".

Finally, Diego José Mateos has highlighted that "with the completion of these expropriation procedures, both actions can be initiated that will increase road safety on both highways.

From the Lorca City Council we make available to the General Directorate of Roads to undertake the aforementioned improvements as soon as possible ".
