The City of Lorca, the third consecutive year, has made a distinction for 48 students from schools in the municipality who have achieved honors during the 2009-2010 academic year.
The event was held at the Centre for Local Development, and has been attended by the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Councillor for Education and University, José Joaquín Peñarrubia.
Jodar has congratulated the students distinguished by "being the best during the course thanks to the efforts and the ongoing study, while encouraged them" to continue demonstrating their perseverance and tenacity to the new targets are now raise. "
Similarly, the Mayor also wanted to congratulate "parents and teachers, for without their commendable work students may never reach this level of academic excellence."
