The streets directly benefited by this set of improvements are placic New, ravine of San Lázaro, José María Zarautz, San Jorge, Hoyos, Plaza de San Cristobal and Abellaneda.
Local Development Council Member of the City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has reported that the city council is installing a total of 7 batteries underground containers in streets of the districts of our city.
Ibarra has indicated that it is a further step in the commitment of the City Council for citizens of these areas have more and better services.
On this occasion, with the replacement of old underground containers of blocks, streets have benefited from better urban aesthetics, contributing decisively to achieve a passable streets for pedestrians.
Lali Ibarra has detailed the investment by the municipality for the implementation of works for the burial of the containers amounted to an economic amount of 200,000 euros.
The proposed action has directly benefited the New placic street in the area of Calvary, while in ravine of San Lazaro has been buried in the binding of the gully with Oil Mill Street Bravo and José María Zarauz.
The actions have also provided work in the neighborhoods of San Pedro, where we proceeded to burial in the St. George Street and their link with the street Hoyos, and in the neighborhood of San Cristobal, where these improvements have been made in the Plaza St. Kitts and Abellaneda street, particularly near the Parque de La Verdad.
The total number of underground containers enabled on those streets is 26, of which 11 are for organic waste, 5 to recycle paper and cardboard, another 5 for the recovery of packaging and many more to glass.
The Councillor for Local Development has stressed that such actions are contributing decisively to the overall improvement of the area Pibal.
It is recalled that the City went to Uptown Lorca during the past year an investment of 5,720,139.58 euros, of which EUR 3,746,095.48 headed the development of programs and improvement of urban 1,974,044 , 10 euros for the implementation of measures under the program of integration and social cohesion.
