This is the Survey of Local Infrastructure and Equipment (EIEL) to find out the status of resources that are under municipal jurisdiction, allowing analyze and assess the needs of endowments from municipalities;
from a lamppost to school, passing traffic signs and health centers.
The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, along with the Minister of Presidency of the CARM, Maria Dolores Pagán, and Town Planning at the Municipal, Satur Martinez has signed an agreement between the Lorca municipality and the Ministry under which It will be implemented in this county Survey Infrastructure and Local Equipment by Geographic Information System (EIELMAP).
The Mayor explained that Lorca intensifies its commitment to all those tools that, through innovation and new technologies allow us to be a better administration for citizens, more transparent and more accessible.
Since 2005, and under the Plan for Modernization of Municipal Technical Offices, the Autonomous Community manages the EIEL Program, a collaborative model in which the different administrations involved put in common GIS infrastructure permanently and delocalized.
This makes for a more useful model also reduces costs by leveraging available resources, avoiding duplication of information and work.
Jodar Alonso said that through the EIEL, is possible to know the status of infrastructure and facilities that are under municipal jurisdiction, allowing analyze and assess the needs of endowments from the municipalities.
We are talking about a system whose importance lies in the fact that the information contained therein is one of the factors that determine the territorial distribution of subsidies, in terms of infrastructure and equipment.
EIEL has been underway for those municipalities with population of less than 50,000 inhabitants and now once again proven its viability and benefits, Lorca begins its launch in the cities of greater population of the Community with the aim of coordinating and managing the technical assistance to them.
The City of Lorca stands out in the regional map for their involvement with new technologies and the implementation of innovative tools to improve and streamline the administration, both to the citizen and the internal functioning of municipal services.
The mayor has emphasized that from transparency to data management from telematic formalities to the digital signature bill, in Lorca are at the forefront in terms of adopting new systems that optimize the functioning of the administration.
Therefore, to join the EIEL got a tool that impact once again on improving our management capacity and greater ease when communicating with other administrations we work as closely as is the case of the Community Autonomous.
The City of Lorca update data infrastructure and facilities in the municipality, forming an accurate inventory will allow us to plan and manage both municipal utilities as autonomous.
The entry into the system results in a more useful model that reduces costs by leveraging available resources and avoid duplication, without incurring any financial cost to city coffers.
