The President of Paso Blue, José María Miñarro, the President of the Paso Azul Foundation, Andres Espinosa, and the butler Pepe Perez Muelas presented the schedule with which the Blue Museum of Holy Week, MASS, will commemorate the fourth centenary of the death writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.
According Miñarro, the goal is to "spread the work of genius of Castilian letters and consolidate the MASS as a regional cultural reference through this ambitious program."
MASS and Paso Azul Foundation, with the collaboration of the Central Union of Irrigation Aqueduct Tajo-Safe and the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation, have taken the initiative to honor this essential figure of our culture through a series of activities to be held between 21 and 29 April.
During this time he will be available to visitors at the Temporary Exhibition Hall of the sample MASS "embroidering some device in gold thread for this her captive knight. Cervantes in the MASS".
This is a literature-themed exhibition on the fourth centenary of Cervantes which may provide for different copies of the most important works of the Manco de Lepanto and montages with images and outstanding phrases of "Don Quixote".
On Friday 22 there will be a collective reading of the immortal masterpiece of Spanish Literature.
And from 10 to 22 hours, 400 people, one for each year since the death of the writer, will read "Don Quixote" without interruption in the Cloister of MASS.
This ambitious marathon in a single frame count as readers with politicians, bullfighters, sportsmen, journalists, students from different schools and members of Paso Blue, among others.
The programming is complemented by three lectures on Cervantes and his top work.
So on Monday, April 25 writer and professor Pedro Felipe Sánchez-Granados will present his paper "The humor in Don Quixote".
On Thursday 28 Quiñonero Professor Jose Hernandez will speak on "Women in Don Quixote".
The cycle on Friday, April 29th will close with the presentation "Cervantes and Italy" by Francisco Javier García Melenchón.
The three will be held at the Faculty of Mass at 20.30.
From the Blue Paso are encouraged to Lorca, Murcia and visitors to enjoy the various activities that will be offered free with the sole purpose of publicizing a great writer as Cervantes and which is the most outstanding work of the Spanish literature: "Don Quixote".
