The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has opened the public reading of Roald Dahl's Matilda with which from the Municipal Libraries of Lorca's World Book Day is commemorated.
This is one of the 25 initiatives organized between 18 and 26 April to commemorate this event and being held in different libraries in the municipality.
Students of secondary schools in the municipality read which is the most emblematic work of Roald Dahl, author notably in the field of Children's Literature and that marks the centenary of his birth.
The reading will last for more than five hours.
To complete the program of activities for World Book Day on Saturday at 11.30 am it will be staged in the Children and Youth Library "Non Sleeping Beauty", while on Tuesday 26 this same work of puppet theater will be represented in the libraries La Hoya and Marchena.
