The budget is 3.6 million euros and the execution period of 12 months
The tender process for the construction of the second building and the development of the new Fairgrounds neighborhood of Santa Quiteria and the Virgen de las Huertas has been published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), for a total budget of 3,619. 466 euros and an execution period of 12 months.
This project is funded by a grant from the Community to the City of Lorca, which will execute the works, thanks to the loan contracted with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the repair of public spaces and infrastructure of the municipality after the earthquake.
The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, said the new pavilion "will increase the business attractiveness of the city, as it will become the epicenter of the exhibition and commercial activity of Lorca" and said that "once again the regional government it is on the side of Lorca, committed in the process of reconstruction and remodeling of the city after the earthquake, to offer a renewed city ".
Pedro Rivera considered this project "reflects the needs of the residents" of the neighborhood, because, as he remarked, "this government, along with the city, gives voice and participation of citizens in the process of defining the action, as it has done in all other works executed in Lorca. "
The Minister, with the mayor, Francisco Jodar, attended the meeting with the residents and businesses in the neighborhood to expose the pavilion construction projects and urban redevelopment of the adjacent streets.
Works
The works consist of the construction of the new pavilion enclosure Exhibition and Conference of Lorca and will be used to host the exhibition of animals for livestock, industrial and food fair (Sepor) and the International Horse Fair (Fericab).
The new pavilion will be the second building enclosure and will have 4,661 square meters of floor area and 21,497 square meters of open space.
Furthermore, it was urbanized and will adjust the central courtyard linking the two buildings as a multipurpose space to make performances and other recreational and festive events.
Interested parties may submit their bids until September 20, which will be evaluated by the Board of Trade of the City of Lorca.
This action will be complemented by the urban renewal of the surrounding streets, where he will proceed to widening, extension and opening of streets, the demolition of sidewalks and asphalt for renewal, replacement of the sewage system, potable water, low voltage lighting public as well as the installation of a network of rainwater and other telecommunications, among other actions.
