The City Council Public Safety of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez, has reported that in the period between January and July this year, the local police has increased by 41% the number of operational surveillance and security launched in the city over the previous year.
Belen Perez explained that "this increase is due to the large number of leisure activities and cultural launched by the City Council in collaboration with various associations. This entails a great effort from both the technicians of the Department as each and every one of body components of local police, who at all times strive to events held in the city discurran as planned so that everyone can enjoy without having to worry about security. "
In this sense, the City Council Public Safety said that "this increase is a reflection of the great existing social, sporting and cultural movement in Lorca, which after some very difficult years stands stronger than ever."
Perez took the opportunity to take stock of the actions, stating that "the operational and surveillance carried out during these months have been:

The mayor also stressed that "the most important actions in the field of Public Safety are held at Easter, our most important festival and this year involved the mobilization of nearly 300 agents, and at Christmas, a time that concentrate large number of events and the streets are filled with Lorca. "
