The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, through the Directorate General of Planning, Architecture and Housing allocates 1,017,784 euros to rebuild 64 homes in Lorca.
These grants are awarded through grants line current Housing Plan, including the declaration of Area Regeneration and Urban Renewal (ARRU) from the center of Lorca.
The Director General of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Nuria Fuentes, said that the regional government "gives absolute priority to the city of Lorca until recovery is complete after the heavy damage caused by earthquakes in 2011," and so he contemplated in the Housing Plan to "help improve residential tissues and restore functionality of historic urban centers, degraded neighborhoods and rural communities".
Fuentes said that "these grants provide answers to the commitment made by the regional government to continue meeting the reconstruction and repair of housing in Lorca, which allow people who, for various reasons, were unable to access the extraordinary aid to repair damage by earthquakes, or they were only partially covered by the aid derived from RD 6/2011, or the Insurance Compensation Consortium, may have greater economic capacity to participate in the reconstruction of buildings. "
The actions subject of the grant, which reach up to 30,000 euros per household, are building homes with minimal energy rating 'B', replacing other previously demolished included in the defined perimeter of Area Regeneration and Urban Renewal ( ARRU) from the center of Lorca.
Homeowners who want to benefit from this aid must have the assessment report building, completed and signed by the competent technician, in addition to the agreement of the homeowners, except in cases of buildings sole proprietorship, and the competent administrative authorization.
Beneficiaries of these grants may be the only owners of residential buildings, owners, associations of owners' associations, consortia and association management bodies.
