Young left youth organization linked to Lorca United Left-Greens, has echoed multiple complaints from users of the Bank of books that manages the Department of Youth, and remains closed from July 23.
Spokesman Young Left, Pablo Lopez, lamented that the service takes more than a closed month and that their beneficiaries can not manage the buying and selling textbooks for their children, with the beginning of the school year almost over .
Lopez publicly congratulated officials Informajoven, the body responsible for managing this service, which he said has improved "significantly" thanks to the good work of their staff.
However, he decried the political decision of the responsible mayor, Agustin Llamas, closing the books Bank since late July, which is causing harm to parents who wish to participate in the system of exchange of textbooks.
Moreover, in Young Left they believe that this system should be more ambitious and have the budget commitment of the City to get the gratuity of textbooks in the municipality.
Lopez recalled that "the Constitution establishes clearly in Article 27.4 thereof, that basic education should be free and this is only possible if it is guaranteed that the material needed for the development of this right is also free."
According to the youth leader, "there are many families who can not bear the cost of textbooks and consumable basic education, which is about 300 euros per student each year."
