The Councillor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, announced the celebration of the Marathon "Lorca, Carol City" on Friday September 30 from 18.30 in the Plaza de Calderon.
The mayor stressed that "the Marathon, which since 1996 has brought the ancient art of storytelling to our city, is a key event in the program of Fair and Festivals of September".
Montiel said that "through this activity is offered to smaller a valuable approach to the world of literature from orality. The Marathon represents the culmination to the different storytelling sessions that throughout the year we celebrate the Children's Library Cultural center and various neighborhoods and districts libraries in order to promote reading especially among children ".
As for the storytellers of Friday, Councilman of Education has announced that "1830 will start the activity, organized from the Network of Municipal Libraries of Lorca, which will be full of surprises and many stories. It should be noted that interventions have a maximum duration of 5 minutes, during which tales, legends, songs and dances of all kinds "rejoice.
