The number of families that required attention within the project of comprehensive social care has fallen further, from 256 in the beginning to 51 today, which shows the progress made in the process of recovery and normalization.
The Councillor for Social Services in the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, has reported that the Bureau has recovered in the last quarter the amount of 69,613.85 euros for their funds.
It is the sum of amounts corresponding to the repayable advances for rent that from this institution were put in the hands of earthquake victims to address the payment to provide access to housing.
The mayor of Social Services explained that at the last meeting of the Bureau, held in the afternoon yesterday, it was reported that refunds repayable advances for access to a rental amount to the overall total amount of 1,311,495 14 euros.
He realized at that meeting also the economic situation of the entity, and approved to continue the Comprehensive Social Services Project, extending it for a period of 3 months.

The mayor of Social Services explained that the total recorded in income accounts managed by the Bureau and channels today amounts to 6,639,740.76 euros, with a positive balance of 98,703.38 euros.
The main needs of the victims that have been addressed by the Bureau under the comprehensive social care project were as follows:
Financial contributions to the payment of rental housing.
financial aid to cover basic needs.
Specific aid for payment of basic services supply.
specific financial aid for payment of books.
specific financial aid for replacement goods.
support financial aid for home repairs.
financial aid for prosthesis.
The Councillor of Social Services has indicated that it is a pioneering project aimed attention to families affected by the earthquakes in 2011 in Lorca, coordinated by municipal social services and emerged to the existence of problematic situations that have not been able to meet with aid covered in the generated frame.

Proof of this is the number of visits that have been made, the number of steps taken, home visits, coordination meetings, receiving internal referrals from the different units of Social Work Social Services Center of Lorca, coordination and contact external resources to social services, as well as the number of economic aid approved by the Local Government.
The mayor of Social Services stressed that the economic assistance which have been distributed to families Lorca stood at 6,541,037.38 euros.
We are talking about 6 million reasons to thank each and every one of the people, associations and groups of different kinds collaboration they have had with our city after the tragedy we suffered that fateful May 11.
Thanks to the work carried to term from this table, formed at the request of the Mayor, we have achieved that families most affected by earthquakes count on economic assistance to normalize the situation.
The contribution of this entity to the recovery of Lorca has been fundamental.
Fátima Mínguez has stated that the objective of this node work has been, from day one, contribute to the recovery and reconstruction of our town, the main axis of his task to foster normalization of daily life of Lorca.
We believe that once carried a balance cold and over time, we have managed to overcome phases and complete objectives.
We can say that the work carried out by the Bureau has been highly positive.
It is still a very valuable experience, which we must emphasize the overall degree of consensus in establishing the different lines of aid and assistance by which we have benefited thousands of Lorca.
Except for very specific exceptions and it is better to forget, the components of the Bureau have shown that we can work together and that when the interests of Lorca take precedence over partisan or other postulates, the result is very beneficial for society.
We believe, moreover, that full transparency with which it has worked from day one, and we have done involve citizens through the media, has earned us the confidence of the various associations, groups and administrations that have contributed, and continue to, acts and solidarity with the funds of the Bureau aid.
